We’re driving back home after a weekend in Chicago and I just finished a McDonald’s hot fudge sundae.  It’s my treat for getting back in the car and heading home.  I love spending time with my children and grandchildren – even if it’s just to watch them sleep. I think a lot of my love comes from the fact that I missed so much when our kids were growing up. I slept through much of their growing up. Now that I’m feeling better, I want to grab back that time I lost and my grandchildren are making it possible. I savor every single minute.  So, until my next visit, a McDonald’s hot fudge sundae will soothe me.

Re: A Hot Fudge Sundae

I think you're right on! Isn't it amazing how a little thing like a hot fudge sundae can offer comfort, cheer, compassion, and celebration? Hooray for Dairy Queen! Cheaper than a therapist anytime!
